My Easter Holiday with Zoe


Yay, I’m going to go to Zoe’s house for the holidays! I met Zoe’s cousins Hamish and Elliot who were staying for the holiday. They were very nice.

My first day with Zoe we zoomed out to Haulashore Island and had an Easter egg hunt. We found lots of delicious Easter eggs . After that we went out to the lighthouse. I was amazed that it looked so tall because it looks small from Zoe’s window. I loved climbing to the top of the winding staircase. I had a good first day and a lovely sleep.

The next few days we hung out with Hamish and Elliot. But on Tuesday, Zoe grabbed my hand and put me in the car, I knew we were going somewhere. Soon we were at a Kaiteriteri beach and a water taxi was waiting for us. We were off to Torrent Bay. It was a pretty amazing place. I was impressed with the bright orange sand. The next day we went for a long walk to a waterfall, I don’t think I’ve seen a waterfall like this one. After that, I was very tired. I sunbathed on the beach while Zoe was kayaking. We went on another long walk but this time we went over a swingbridge. And then home on the water taxi.

A few days after that we watched “How to train your dragon” in real 3D. It came right at me! I fell asleep for a little bit but Zoe thought it was amazing.

The next day we went for a swim. Theo let me borrow his togs.

On Sunday we got ready for school. I had a great time and Zoe did too. I was thinking that this was the best holiday this year.

    Hi George, we had a great time with you during the holidays, especially our time in Torrent Bay. You were a great friend to have along - you never took sides and always shared your easter eggs and chocolate. You were also a great spectator while we learned to kayak and played on the tyre swing. It's so cool that you went to How to Train Your Dragon in 3D because we saw that too, when we got back to Wellington. It was awesome, huh. We hope to see you again, when we come back to Nelson with our Mum and Dad. They want to move down there. Love, Hamish & Elliot. P.S Say hi to Zoe and Theo when you see them. xx
